Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division of UFC. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, and the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized her strike abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost them to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
